The short answer

Two things in Warren you can still act on. The Mayor's Wellness Campaign back to school supply drive runs August 14 to 21, with a donation bin inside the Warren Township Library, and the supplies go to the Feeding Hands food pantry here in Warren. Bob Marino's Tribute to the Legends, the Frank and Dean Show, plays Wednesday August 19 at 7:00 p.m. at the Warren Pavilion, rain date Thursday August 20. Warren Township Police already held their 2nd Annual National Night Out on August 4. Fall tennis registration closes August 14.

The supply drive, August 14 to 21

This is the easiest useful thing on the list.

The Warren Township Mayor's Wellness Campaign is running a community back to school supply drive. The donation bin is inside the Warren Township Library, and it is up from August 14 through August 21.

What is collected goes to Feeding Hands, the food pantry in Warren. Local donations, local pantry, local families.

A specific requested items list, a collection goal and the results are not published, so use judgment on what to buy. Standard classroom supplies are the safe assumption.

Wednesday, August 19: Frank and Dean

Bob Marino's Tribute to the Legends, the Frank and Dean Show. Wednesday August 19 at 7:00 p.m. at the Warren Pavilion. Rain date Thursday August 20. It is a Warren Recreation event, announced August 3, and it is a one man performance built around Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.

This closes out a summer of township music. The Summer Concert Series ran Wednesday nights, 7:00 to 10:00 p.m., at the Municipal Complex, 46 Mountain Boulevard.

Date Act
July 8 The Here's ELTON Tribute Show
July 15 Sky City Social, listed on the township calendar as cancelled
July 22 RadioCon
July 29 Twilight Disciples

The township calendar marks the July 15 show as cancelled. It does not say why, and I am not going to attribute it to anything.

National Night Out, August 4

Warren Township Police hosted National Night Out on Tuesday August 4, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Warren Township Police Department, 44 Mountain Boulevard, with access through 46 Mountain Boulevard.

Coverage afterward described the township bringing residents, first responders and community organizations together for its 2nd Annual National Night Out, an evening aimed at strengthening relationships between law enforcement and the community and giving families a chance to meet local first responders.

Attendance, the full list of participating agencies and the specific activities are not in the record I could reach.

Second annual means the tradition is new. Worth knowing for next August.
